Charleston Library Groundbreaking May 21, 2021

This week we celebrated the groundbreaking for the Keith Summey North Charleston Library! This will be the FIFTH brand new library constructed in Charleston County as part of our Design-Build team’s efforts.

The library will be a 20,000-square-foot building located at the site of the recently closed Cooper River Memorial Library, and will reuse a renovated portion of the closed library. Community resources in the new library will include:

  • 100-seat community room
  • Outdoor reading areas
  • Study room
  • Children and teen areas

Thank you to all of our student interns, field management personnel, design partners, and subcontractors who are a part of this highly successful program! #mbkahn #buildingthefuture
