Great Cape Fear Water Treatment Plant Press May 19, 2021

One of our water projects is in the news! The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) in North Carolina recently highlighted the fact that the Richardson Water Treatment Plant can now treat and distribute an additional 1 million gallons of water per day (MGD), keeping pace with growth in Northern New Hanover County. The story appeared on their website at https://www.cfpua.org.

One quote: “CFPUA’s staff and our contractor, M.B. Kahn Construction Co. Inc., worked hard to bring this project in on-schedule and on-budget, and in the midst of a pandemic,” CFPUA Executive Director Jim Flechtner said.

M. B. Kahn was delighted to be selected as the contractor for CFPUA to perform this capacity expansion. As the constructor of the original plant over 10 years ago, we were fortunate that many of the local professionals and craftspeople involved in that project remain at M. B. Kahn helping us serve the municipal water industry. We were able to utilize their experience and skill to execute the work, which ensured success for our client. #mbkahn #waterworks #infrastructure
