SOS: Support Ronald McDonald House June 1, 2021

The 2021 M. B. Kahn Summer of Support is underway! We started the “SOS” to help worthy charitable organizations weather the “Summer Slump” when donations tend to drop dramatically. Our June spotlight is on the Ronald McDonald House in Columbia.

Ronald McDonald House programs help families with sick or injured children stay together near vital health care services. There are two main components of the Columbia program: 1) A Ronald McDonald House that can shelter up to 16 families, and 2) A Ronald McDonald Family Room at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital.

At the Ronald McDonald House, everything is provided for families, including linens, toiletries, and food. At the Family Room, which functions as an extension of the House, volunteers provide snacks and a light lunch during the week.

Let’s fill the donation bins in the Columbia office lobby for this great cause! Here are the items we are collecting in June:

• Dishwasher Liquid/Pods
• Dishwashing Liquid
• Hand Sanitizer
• Large Paper Coffee Cups
• Liquid Hand Soap
• Paper Plates
• Paper Towels
• Plastic Silverware
• Solo Cups
• Board Games
• Nintendo Switch Games (Nonviolent)
• Dog Toys
• Dog Treats (Grain Free ONLY)
• Dryer Sheets
• Laundry Baskets
• Laundry Detergent
• Gift Cards to Costco, Sam’s Club, or Wal-Mart

Donations from field personnel and other offices are encouraged and welcomed!
