College of Charleston Jewish Studies Charleston, South Carolina
This project consists of a 15,000 square-foot addition to the existing three-story Sylvia Vlosky Taschik Jewish Studies Center, originally built in 2002. Located in the heart of the historic College of Charleston campus, an existing one-story building was demolished, and existing underground campus utilities were relocated. The first floor of the addition was elevated above the floodplain, matching the existing Center’s floor height. The first level consists of a dining facility, serving vegan, vegetarian, fish, and Kosher foods. The second and third floors provide classroom space.
